Capstone 3: High-Value Subreddit Map for an ICP
Goal: Produce a prioritized, validated 15-25 subreddit map for a specific ICP, matching the rigor of Prowlo's devtools map (member counts, moderation posture, promo tolerance) that Stage 4 taught you to build against.
Prerequisite stages: 01-stage1-foundations.md (ecosystem mapping); 04-stage4-leadgen-launches.md (the 340%-more-qualified-leads case for niche over broad targeting, SaaS Hero).
Weekly milestones: Week 1 ICP definition and a 10-subreddit seed list; Week 2 expansion to 20-25 through manual crawling (GummySearch's commercial shutdown on Nov 30 2025 means this is a manual-plus-Claude exercise now, not a one-tool lookup); Week 3 tagging each entry for size, promo tolerance, and rule quirks; Week 4 validation via test posts/comments in 5 subreddits, with the map revised against what actually happened.
Deliverables: a subreddit map spreadsheet (name, size, promo tolerance tier, key rules, mod notes, priority tier); a validation log of the 5 test interactions and what they changed in the map.
| Criterion | Points |
|---|---|
| Coverage and relevance to the stated ICP | 25 |
| Data accuracy (size, rules, verified not assumed) | 20 |
| Prioritization logic (tiering is defensible, not arbitrary) | 20 |
| Validation evidence (5 real test interactions, with outcomes) | 20 |
| Presentation and reusability for teammates | 15 |
| Total | 100 |
Claude workflows: Claude synthesizes each subreddit's rules page and recent top posts into the structured table; the Stage 6 "project-health-check" skill pattern flags any entry older than 60 days as stale.
Tools: Claude Project, spreadsheet, native Reddit search (post-GummySearch-shutdown tooling reality).
