Claude prompt
Fresh account, {{current_karma}} karma, {{account_age}} days old. Build a 30-day warm-up calendar in r/{{target_subreddits}}, genuine browsing/upvoting/commenting only, no links, no product mentions.

Learning objectives

  • Build a compliant new Reddit account correctly.
  • State the converging warm-up timelines from current guides.
  • Explain why a 2-week-old account posting about a product triggers skepticism regardless of content quality.
  • Distinguish legitimate warm-up from black-hat account farming.

Prerequisites: Module 1.2 in full.

Core concepts

Everything you know about karma, CQS, and ranking converges on one question: how do you build an account that survives it all? Step one: verify email, a CQS signal. Step two: add an avatar and honest bio, a blank account reads as disposable. Step three: browse and upvote genuinely, then comment genuinely, before ever posting a link.

Timelines converge across sources: ~30 days to 100 karma, another 2-4 weeks to ~250 karma before touching promotional threads. The practical minimum is 10-14 days of consistent, human-like activity. More rigorous B2B playbooks (Resocial, OG Tool) recommend a full 90-day "participation-before-promotion" calendar. Separately, organic guides converge on: 2-3 months of genuine activity, or ~30 days of age plus 100 karma, as baseline before any promotion.

Why so strict? A 2-week-old account posting about its own product triggers immediate skepticism regardless of quality, humans and Reddit's own systems both use account age/history as a first-pass filter, and a thin history fails it instantly.

Draw the line clearly: legitimate warm-up is one account, one person, participating genuinely over weeks or months. Black-hat farming is buying/renting aged accounts, running proxy or anti-detect-browser fleets (Multilogin, AdsPower, DiCloak, VMOS are marketed for exactly this; "warm up accounts at scale" threads exist openly on BlackHatWorld), or coordinating multiple accounts to promote the same product. Reddit links accounts via IP, device fingerprint, and behavior, this gets all linked accounts permanently banned. This course teaches the single-account, patient path exclusively.

Exercise

Set up/audit your account: verified email, avatar, honest bio. Log today's date and karma as day zero.

Assignment

Write a 90-day calendar with checkpoints: day 14 (activity minimum), day 30 (~100 karma), day 90 (readiness for a first soft-mention comment).

Claude workflow

  • Skill idea: a warm-up calendar generator calibrated to starting point and the 90-day benchmark.
  • Automation: none, this is the single lesson where automation is most tempting and most forbidden. Auto-generated or auto-posted "warm-up" activity is indistinguishable from account farming.

Expected outcomes

  • One verified, properly set-up account with day-zero karma logged.
  • Written 90-day calendar with three checkpoints.
  • Can explain the difference between legitimate warm-up and account farming, and why the latter bans all linked accounts.
