Two forces are reshaping this landscape. Reddit Pro (free, March 2024) added keyword tracking and "Pro Trends" in January 2025, an iOS app in August 2025, and a September 2025 publisher-tools beta including a new "Links tab", some third-party functionality is migrating into the platform itself (ppc.land). And Postpone ($7/mo, 11+ platforms) bundles a "Redditor Score" tracking your own account's karma/age/posting patterns plus shadowban and rate-limit protection.

The clean rule: monitoring/alerting (F5Bot, Syften, Reddit Pro) is fully ToS-safe and automatable end to end. Scheduling tools (Postpone) sit in a middle layer, adding account-safety guardrails to a human-posted comment. Engagement itself must always stay behind a human. Pick your tool on budget and keyword volume; don't let tool choice drive you toward automating the layer that must stay manual.
